Earlier today the Hon. Minister of Power Engr. Sale Mamma was at the Taraba State Government house where he discussed with his excellency governor Darius Ishaku on how to speed up the final take off of the mambilla hydroelectric power project and other power issues affecting the state.
The minister used the opportunity to inform the governor about plans for special projects that will enhance the electricity supply in Taraba state. According to the minister he has since directed that a number of rural electrification projects be executed in different parts of the State and as well as the supply of transformers to improve efficiency in Jalingo and other towns.
As part of effort to boost electricity to Taraba State, the minister said the jalingo transmission sub_station will be upgraded from the current 132 kv to 330kv.
