The tussle for who fill in the vacant Ukwe traditional stool in Takum Chiefdom maybe coming to an end with the struggle reaching a milestone on Tuesday 25th of August 2020, This is due to the declaration made my the Chairman Taraba State traditional council his Royal Highness Dr. Shekarau Angyu Masaibi ( Aku Uka) in Jalingo on Tuesday.
According to our correspondent The Chairman who is in Jalingo attending to the commission of inquiry set up by Gov. Darius Ishaku to address the lingering crisis between Tiv and their Neighbors in Taraba State meet with Gov. Ishaku yesterday in Jalingo where he informed the Governor that the Takum paramount King is historically reserved for the kuteb Royal Families.
Reacting to the declaration by Aku Uka a popular Taraba activist, Pastor Rikwense Muri vie his Facebook handle thank the Chairman Aku Uka for making such declaration, in his words Rikwense Muri wrote:
“Appreciation to Aku Uka for Standing by the Kuteb Struggle for Justice
Your Majesty, the Aku Uka of Wukari words cannot express the gratitude of the Kuteb nation to you. Thank you for standing by Equity and Justice. Thank you for telling Taraba State Government that Takum Paramount King is historically reserved for the Kuteb Royal families in Takum. Thank you for bringing back the hope for peaceful coexistence in Southern Taraba when equity and justice reigned. We thought we have been forgotten by our Kwararafa brothers, but you have given us the reassurance that we are still together in the struggle. Thank you for supporting the Kuteb story. Thank you for giving our campaign for equity and justice a momentum. Now the Government has been properly guided. Long live the King”
