Tension in Jauro Yinu Ward as APGA candidate defeat PDP with 610 Votes

•TSIEC Refuse to Declare Result as Youths Protest

•PDP Win Kurmi, Wukari, Ibi, Jalingo, Sardauna LGAs

The Youths of Jauro Yinu Ward in Ardokola local government area of Taraba state are on peaceful Demonstration, calling on the Taraba State Independent Electoral Commission TSIEC to announce their results in the just concluded Local government Election.

The candidate of the All progressives Grand Alliance APGA Alexander Andrew Shaukani had won the Election with wide margin defeating the PDP candidate Hon. Kini Emmanuel with 610 votes against 455votes, Taraba Truth and Facts gathered.

Addressing the newsmen in Jauro Yinu Ward Hon. Alexander lamented the irregularities in there concluded Local government Election pointing out that TSIEC want to hijack the mandate of the people by declaring the candidate of the PDP winner of the poll.

The Youth leader of APGA called on TSIEC to do the needful by declaring him the winner of the election after securing highest lawful votes at the poll.
” At the collation of the votes yesterday at the ward headquarters, APGA had 610 votes but the returning officer decided not to announce the results on the spot. He went away without giving any words, even the materials for the election were left there.

“We want TSIEC to announce the results, they are already altering the results at the residence of member representing Ardo-Kola at the state house of Assembly. The election has been peaceful, it’s time the votes count. The people voted APGA in broad daylight, they should not change it or tamper with the will of the people.”

Meanwhile the People Democratic Party, PDP has won the Taraba state local government election in Kurmi, Wukari, Ibi, Jalingo, Zing and Sardauna local government areas of Taraba state.

The election which took place on Tuesday 30th June, 2020 saw the victory of PDP Candidates in the areas.

In Kurmi, the election was conducted peaceful and thousands of electorates turned out enmass to exercise their franchise despite the fact that the PDP Candidate was the only one contesting in the election.
Speaking shortly after pulling 57 931 as declared by the Returning Officer of the election Dr Ejika Sambo of MAUTECH Yola, the CTC chairman promised to carry the people along in his developmental activities.

He thanked Governor DDI for standing by him and the people for trusting there mandate for him.
In Wukari the CTC chairman Adi Daniel Adigrace described the election as peaceful. He commended the people for being orderly during the election.
In Ibi the CTC chairman Hon Bala Bako commended TSIEC for a well organized election.
