Two men were banished from Konshisha Local Government area of Benue State by their Traditional council “Mbashinya Abata and Terna Ikyondu” for witchcraft traceable to the killings of two young girls last week.

 

Mbasen and Mbawuese, who were the victims inexplicably drowned in River Agberagba, after recovering their bodies from the Rivers, Arewa Focus gathered that youth in the community apprehend the suspects which results to their confession.

 

The two suspects would have been killed by the masses if not for Fidelis Jombo the Divisional Police Officer, who led some troupes of police officer to the community and rescue the suspects to their custody.

Even though it was earlier learnt that the Traditional council of Konsshisha through her chief  (Ter Ikyor) Chief Jam Gbiinde, has banished the two suspects, saying that what they did was an act of witchcraft.

 

The chief also worn his community saying that such actions will continue to be on any act of such or like manner, thereby discouraging the practice of witchcraft in the community.
