Hon. Ajiya Garba member representing Takum I constituency at the Taraba state house of assembly had on Thursday gave out scholarship to indigene of Takum I.How ever the controversy surrounding the event is that most of the beneficiaries are not student as claimed, arewafocus learned.The event which took place at Takum local government is said to have captured about 120 beneficiaries, the beneficiaries were drawn from the various ward in Takum I.Mr. Joseph Tanko told arewafocus that about 80% of the beneficiaries are not student.Most of the beneficiaries are sons and daughters of traditional rulers, councilors and even their girlfriends, only few of them are actually student Tanko said.Most of the student from Takum I studying in Taraba state University, Jalingo and Federal University Wukari has declined knowledge of the scholarship.As you can see , when it comes to voting we all go out and vote, but in times of benefit only their allies and family members are considered.
